Book Review: Hex Education by Maureen Kilmer

Suburban housewife turned realtor, Sarah uses a bit of extra help to get things done and maintain her nearly perfect life. But college secrets are put at risk and magic goes out of control when she and her three college friends meet once again on their college campus, the same one that had a tragic fire their freshman year. Now Sarah has magic going overboard, a talking cat named Katy Purry (who frankly was the best part of the book), and secrets trying to come out. It was a cute, cozy mystery but I honestly didn't feel the risk or particularly care what happened to any of the characters. If you're looking for a low-stakes, comfy read you'll probably really enjoy it but personally, it wasn't for me.
